– According to a new report, the fourth seasons of DC's Titans and Doom Patrol on HBO Max will be their last.

– Both series made the jump from the short-lived DC Universe streamer to HBO Max for their third seasons.

Titans and Doom Patrol were canceled by HBO Max due to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger and the ongoing purge of HBO Max content.

Both shows knew their respective fourth seasons would be their last and planned for definitive conclusions.

The final seasons for both series consist of 12 episodes which have split into two six-episode halves.

Titans showrunner, Greg Walker, and Doom Patrol showrunner, Jeremy Carver, thanked the cast, crew, writing staff, and fans for their support.

Part 2 of Season 4 of Titans is expected to be released in April. The cancellations come as James Gunn and Peter Safran assume the role of co-heads of DC Studios and work to reboot the DCU.

Greg Berlanti's Dwindling DC Catalogue: The Flash is also in its final season, and Superman & Lois and Gotham Knights will be his only superhero shows still standing.

Not all of HBO Max's DC content is under fire, Harley Quinn was recently renewed for a fourth season.

The future of existing DC content is still up for debate, but fans of Doom Patrol and Titans can be satisfied that the series were able to end on their own terms.

The cancellations of Titans and Doom Patrol come as part of a larger trend of streaming platforms cutting shows and focusing on original content to attract subscribers.

The Warner Bros. Discovery merger has also led to a re-evaluation of existing content and a shift in focus towards developing new shows and franchises.

Fans of Titans and Doom Patrol will likely be disappointed by the news, but some have noted that at least the shows were able to end on their own terms, rather than being abruptly cut without a proper conclusion.
